We promised to shut down if Batch 1 didn't grow 50% in 6 months. They grew 174%.
If building a startup were World War II, Kuzana would be the guy beside you in the trenches: the kind of investor every founder hopes for. The one who rolls up their sleeves, opening doors and pushing for execution.
I knew there was demand for micro-customized high-end women's clothes, but I didn't see the expected revenue. Through the workshops and the community conversations, the blind spots became clear. Kuzana opened my eyes to more intentional selling. Now, I'm seeing month-on-month growth!
How long have your sales been flat?
Systems, advisors and peers. In one batch.
From application to investment in about 3 months.
Will I lose control of my company?
No. Kuzana takes a non-controlling minority stake. You decide dividends. The partnership is permanent unless you want us to exit.
Do I need perfect accounting or a pitch deck?
No. We'd rather work with real than perfect.
What's the time commitment?
Four sessions a month for 12 months: one in-person workshop in Spring Valley, Nairobi, two online sessions, and one 1:1 session at your office.
How long does it take?
A decision in 2 weeks. Application to investment in about 3 months.
What do you need from us after you invest?
Monthly accounts in professional accounting software such as Zoho, closed by the 5th of each month, and separate business and personal bank accounts. None of this is needed to apply.
How does Kuzana make its money back?
Through revenue-based finance on the working capital we provide, and through services like Lead Gen marketing. Not by selling your shares.
Will you push us to grow fast or make flashy announcements?
No. This is not a get-rich-quick; it's a long relationship that builds wealth and connection throughout your career.
We've sat in the same chair you're sitting in.
Kuzana's founders have run a biogas business, a Thai restaurant, an outsourced CFO agency, a microfinance institution, tech platforms and a farming business.
